Michael R. Kosorok, Ph.D., is the W.R. Kenan, Jr. Distinguished Professor of Biostatistics, Professor of Statistics and Operations Research, and Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His expertise is in biostatistics, artificial intelligence, and precision health, including multidisciplinary applications to cancer, nutrition, diabetes, pain management, and other health areas. He has published over 240 papers and two books which span theory, methodology and applications. He is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Statistical Association, and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. He is also a past president of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics.
