Xuan Pan, VMD, PhD, DACVIM (Oncology)

Dr. Xuan Pan is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and a veterinary medical oncologist and translational scientist with a VMD and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. Her research integrates epigenetic regulation of hematopoietic stem cells with comparative oncology, focusing on the development of novel targeted therapies for canine diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL). She is particularly interested in applying innovative precision medicine approaches—including molecular diagnostics and real-time monitoring—to improve diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes in veterinary oncology. By leveraging the biological and genetic similarities between canine and human cancers, her work aims to accelerate the development of more effective therapies across species.
