This course is designed for all physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and specialists in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and associated disciplines caring for patients with liver disease. This activity is a review course intended to update providers on a diverse range of topics including viral hepatitis, alcohol and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, cirrhosis, portal hypertension, hepatocellular carcinoma and liver transplantation. The conference will focus on recent advances and publications. The discussion will be centered on case presentations in order to make the activity interactive and practical.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Analyze the indications and interpretation of viral hepatitis testing and identify patients that will benefit from antiviral therapy.
- Implement appropriate management and identify potential therapies for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
- Examine the complications of ascites, variceal hemorrhage and encephalopathy and treatment options.
- Determine the diagnosis and treatment options for liver masses and hepatocellular carcinoma.
- Recognize acute on chronic liver failure, identify ways to stabilize patient and evaluate for liver transplant.
