Radiology Research Day 2020 (RP2005D)
Radiology Research Day features presentations given by mentored trainees in the Department of Radiology. These presentations will cover a variety of basic science topics, a number of prospective, retrospective and translation studies carried out in the Department of Radiology, which provide concrete examples of experimental design, statistical analysis and hypothesis driven research. The trainee talks will be followed by a lecture from an invited outside speaker, Dr. Miriam A. Bredella, MD, Professor of Radiology, Harvard Medical School, and Vice Chair of Academic Affairs, Department of Radiology, Massachusetts General Hospital. The lecture is titled, " Advanced Imaging of Body Composition: Sex Differences and Metabolic Risk", and will address the broad impact of imaging in understanding the body composition, and the associated metabolic risks based on gender differences. It will also address how these differences can be used to understand and mitigate the metabolic risks associated with obesity. Physicians, Advanced Practice Professionals, Nurses, Scientists and Researchers with an interest in the practical application of recent research findings in the field of radiology should attend.
