The UTSW Health System Celebration of Excellence, is a health system-wide event that will highlight examples of innovation and improvement in quality, patient experience, people, and financial stewardship throughout the Health System. During this event, the keynote lecture and fireside chat will teach learners about high reliability organization principles and psychological safety. 

Target Audience

All UT Southwestern Health System employees are encouraged to attend this event in-person or via livestream.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

• Identify the elements of patient experience that is inclusive of quality, safety and service.
• Identify leadership behaviors that are crucial to providing an unparalleled patient experience including a safe patient experience.
• Describe the role that the physician plays in creating a culture of respect and high reliability.
• Describe the science of high reliability and tools for providing highly reliable care.
