Rapid Improvement Event (RIE) Training (RP2207A)
A Rapid Improvement Event (RIE) empowers cross-functional teams to “think Lean” and discover solutions to problems by providing a structured approach to achieve breakthrough improvement in quality and performance in a relatively short time span. This 2-day hands-on course will equip attendees with the skills they need to lead their own RIEs in their respective departments, therefore managing their own structured continuous improvement. Other benefits of a RIE include improved workflow through incremental continuous improvement and minimizing or eliminating wasteful process steps. Learners will receive both lecture-based education as well as engage in activities including team-building and an in-depth case study where they will be conducting their own mini-RIE. This will impact the performance of our organization and enable the workforce (clinical and non-clinical) to meet UTSW’s Operational Plan Objectives.
