2026 UT Southwestern Fort Worth Liver Transplant Symposium CME (RP2604B)

Fort Worth, TX US
April 11, 2026

This program is designed to showcase the distinctive features of the liver transplant (LT) program at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Our program serves patient populations that are not typically eligible for transplantation at other centers in North Texas. Through a blend of didactic presentations and real-world case studies, we aim to illuminate these unique aspects of our approach. During this activity, there will be a literature review of patient cases with Severe acute Alcoholic Hepatitis (SAAH) and Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD); a description of the Living Donor Liver Transplant (LDLT), which outlines indications for referral and transplantation; and an overview of liver transplantation in 2026 including a review of utilizing machine perfusion to further expand the donor pool.
