Target Audience

Community and academic orthopaedic surgeons and orthopaedic fellows, residents and students.                      

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  1. To identify what types of prophylaxis are recommended after joint arthroplasty.
  2. To recognize what comorbidities are associated with increased likelihood of readmission.
  3. To recall which patients benefit from surgery and what should be done preoperatively.
