AAP TECaN National Advocacy Campaign: 'Screening for Parental Mental Health in the NICU' (EM622-020222)

This 10-Part virtual/on-demand webinar series will bring together experts from across the nation to discuss topics related to NICU family mental health and wellness.  Parental mental health needs are extremely prevalent in the NICU. Despite the high needs and impact on child and family outcomes, most NICUs do not currently have a standard of care to address familial mental health. Our purpose through the National AAP TECaN Carousel Care Campaign is to educate NICU providers across all scopes of practice on how to identify and address family wellness needs. This session will focus on the importance of promoting parental mental health in the NICU. Methods and strategies to develop an effective screening program will be discussed to improve the care provided to NICU families.
