AAP TECaN National Advocacy Campaign: 'Helping Families Thrive After NICU' (EM622-060122)

This 10-Part virtual/on-demand webinar series will bring together experts from across the nation to discuss topics related to NICU family mental health and wellness.  Parental mental health needs are extremely prevalent in the NICU. Despite the high needs and impact on child and family outcomes, most NICUs do not currently have a standard of care to address familial mental health. Our purpose through the National AAP TECaN Carousel Care Campaign is to educate NICU providers across all scopes of practice on how to identify and address family wellness needs. This session will focus on the importance of providing comprehensive care and shared decision making to provide care to high risk infants post discharge from NICU. It will also discuss core tools and concepts that care providers can use in any situation to promote shared decision making.
