The UTSW Pancreatic Cancer Program Symposium will be a unique opportunity for community cancer care specialists to obtain up-to-date information on novel treatment approaches from UTSW specialists as well as internationally recognized faculty. As the only NCI-Comprehensive Cancer Center in North Texas, UTSW-Simmons Cancer Center carries a vast expertise in the complex management of pancreatic cancer and the responsibility to educate the medical community and increase access to specialized care for this aggressive malignancy. The educational content will include: novel neoadjuvant therapy protocols, use of minimally invasive and robotic techniques for pancreatic cancer and systemic therapy options and trials for advanced disease, among others.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, hepatobiliary surgeons, gastroenterologists, internal medicine physicians, family practice physicians, advanced practice providers, and other health care providers with an interest in pancreatic malignancies.
Learning Objectives
- Identify and discuss the barriers of access to care for patients with pancreatic cancer
- Analyze the impact of novel neoadjuvant, adjuvant and systemic therapy treatments for pancreatic cancer
- Discuss the role of different chemotherapy and radiation therapy modalities for pancreatic cancer
- Compare and contrast the potential benefits of minimally invasive surgery in pancreatic cancer

Conference attendees are welcome to utilize either the Valet parking service located at the main entrance of the William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital (CUH) or self-park in the visitor parking garage (adjacent to the Hospital). Complimentary vouchers for both services will be available at the conference registration desk.
Enter through the hospital main entrance and take the nearest elevator bank to the second floor. Follow the directional signs to the conference room.
