Educational Conferences - Educational Conferences Scottish Rite for Children (convio.net)
Our annual Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics: Topics for Primary Care (DBP) conference is designed to increase knowledge, improve performance, and improve patient outcomes in primary care practices for children with developmental and behavioral challenges. The 25th annual DBP seminar will be on March 1, 2024. It will be an in-person conference providing 4.5 hours of educational content relevant to PCMPs caring for children with common developmental and behavioral disorders that frequently co-occur and that also can mimic each other, thereby complicating diagnosis and treatment. Educational content will consist of didactic lectures and interactive Q&A sessions. After participating in this conference, attendees will be able to distinguish between and identify co-occurrence of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and symptoms of Anxiety. They will also have increased knowledge and awareness about the atypical presentation of ASD in Down Syndrome (DS) and be able to distinguish it from Down Syndrome Regression Disorder (DSRD). Finally, they will also learn an approach to finding the most current, trustworthy, and relevant clinical guidance from the medical literature to inform current and future clinical care of individuals with developmental and behavioral disorders.
