Functional neurological disorder (FND) is a common neuropsychiatric condition that leads to higher rates of disability, diminished quality of life, and increased health care utilization. It continues to be under-recognized within the medical community. A compassionate communication of the diagnosis and referral to evidence-based treatments can result in considerable improvements for those living with FND.
