APLUS: Optimizing Noninvasive Respiratory Support in Extremely Preterm Infants (RP2411A)

Dallas, TX US
November 8, 2024

This is a one-day conference tailored for neonatology professionals, focuses on diverse facets of noninvasive respiratory support and offers attendees a comprehensive understanding of the latest methodologies and best practices for extremely preterm infants. Through four hours of didactic sessions and three hours of hands-on training, attendees will gain expertise in techniques such as delivery room stabilization, management of CPAP in delivery room transport and NICU, less invasive surfactant administration (LISA) utilizing thin catheters, and surfactant administration via supraglottic airways (SALSA). They will also gain understanding in the use of lung ultrasound examination to predict CPAP failure (need for mechanical ventilation within 72 hours of life) and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. Participants will have an interactive workshop enabling learners to develop effective Quality Improvement teams for long-term, sustainable change. With a track record of multiple publications and extensive expertise, our faculty ensures an enriching learning experience that promises to advance the standards of neonatal care.
